Our View Going Forward

The work in Ethical AI is just getting started and is still in its infancy. While there will be many people on both sides of the debate, those wanting less transparency and those wanting more, those in favor of regulation and those wanting less, the key is to be involved in the debate. Only by all of us being involved will we be able to craft guidelines for AI Ethics and regulations that serve companies developing amazing new technologies, the users, and society.

We do believe that more regulations will be proposed and passed in most modern societies in the coming years. There is no way to know what exactly will be proposed, but we would encourage any government official reading this site to reach out to us so we can share some additional thoughts on AI Ethics and Regulations.

For the founders, entrepreneurs, and tech executives reading this, we encourage you to take a hard look at applying AI Ethics to your businesses in a meaningful way. Not only is it the right thing to do, but it will also be the mandatory thing to do in the not too distant future. If you aren’t sure where to start and would like some advice on how to blend your goals, technology, and corporate vision with the best AI Ethics has to offer, reach out to us, we’d love to hear from you.

Lastly, the AI Ethics section was greatly influenced by the work at The Data Oath and the Five Foundations of Ethical AI. By giving a clear and applicable framework to guide the design, development, deployment of ethical AI models, companies around the world can start their journey in AI Ethics.
